Dear Commissioners: As citizens of the United States of America and tax payers of Henderson County, we are pressing the Henderson County Commissioners to exercise fiscal responsibility and adherence to their oath of office and deny the Flat Rock Playhouse our tax dollars. The Flat Rock Playhouse is requiring vaccine passports. The playhouse receives public funds – our tax dollars. This discriminatory action by them is the hallmark of communist dictatorships, not a 245-year-old constitutional republic like the United States of America. By requiring vaccine passports, the Flat Rock Playhouse that receives our tax dollars, discriminates and violates our individual rights, bodily integrity, medical privacy, and the rule of law.Since you have the authority to allocate our tax dollars, you have the authority to them take away.
The courts will almost certainly strike down the vaccine mandate pronouncement by the nameless, faceless, unelected bureaucrats at OSHA because it is unconstitutional. Congress did not give OSHA the authority to mandate vaccines let alone the Flat Rock Playhouse. Several years ago, this body of commissioners gave $100,000 bail out to the Flat Rock Playhouse for their failed business model of opening a theater on Main Street. The hubris of the guy in charge of the theater had the gall to stand before you and tax payers and proclaim that we should be grateful and honored that the theater is here. They now have the audacity to use our hard-working taxpayer dollars to divide us and violate our right to medical privacy. In this country, medical privacy is the right of every American citizen. Whether we take a COVID-19 vaccine or not should be no one’s business – not the federal government or the Flat Rock Playhouse.
We, the undersigned, strongly urge you to deny our hard-earned tax dollars to the Flat Rock Playhouse and any other publicly funded entity that violates our inalienable right to privacy and the rule of law. Do not fund their fascism. Thank you.
